Your cottage is located on a quiet lane and above the waterside with with only a few other homes close by. East of the Pacific Highway, 2 km north of Mooney Mooney, a few minutes drive to Brooklyn and the F1 freeway and a short drive to Gosford and the Central Coast to the north or Berowra Waters to the south. Close to Lower Hawkesbury attractions: Brooklyn, Dangar Island and Peats Bite.
Unique among many riverside properties, "Above the Hawkesbury” has water access as well as road access The cottage is located on the roadside so parking is limited. You can turn around at the end of Milloo Parade then park infront of the house or use the garage. Walk across the narrow road to the reserve (limited access) and take the steps down to our private picnic area, jetty and pontoon. You can moor your boat or go fishing except at low tide. The steps are little uneven after the rainy summer season so care is needed.
You will enjoy great dining at the club in Mooney Mooney. Drive a few minutes further and you can enjoy the cafes, restaurants, marinas and boating facilities of Brooklyn. Boats including 'tinnies' can be rented for a small change from several marinas in Brooklyn. Swimming from the pontoon is not recommended. Take a boat down the river or drive to the beaches on the Central Coast 30-40 minutes.
Cruise the beautiful Hawkesbury River with Australia's last Riverboat Postman. The Riverboat Postman takes between 3 and 4 hours to complete a trip and starts from the Brooklyn wharf just beside the Hawkesbury River Railway Station. It runs from Monday to Friday, departing at 9:30am (except Public Holidays). You can also enjoy our afternoon Coffee Cruise, take a trip on the regular Dangar Island Ferry run . Ferries leave Brooklyn several times each day.
Cheero Point is close enough to the action and far enough away to be 1000 miles from care!

Above The Hawkesbury is just a few minutes from the F3 Freeway, off the Pacific Highway and approx just 49km north of Sydney CBD and 7 km north of Brooklyn.
Turn right into Cheero Point Road, continue 700m. then turn left into Milloo Parade (Milloo Parade is a narrow road).
Above The Hawkesbury is about 100 metres along on the left.
